Government Initiatives for BPO Companies in India

The Govt. of India and various state governments have starting taking the IT and BPO companies very seriously. NASSCOM has done a wonderful job in working with the Government to generate new policies which are in favor of the growing BPO industries.

To promote India as a major destination for the BPO companies, the Government is also proposing to construct an "India Brand Marketing" fund. The fund will be utilized to promote the country as a demanding destination for the BPO sectors.

The government is also planning to create infrastructure for the BPO companies in several parts of the country. The Government is trying not to limit the growth of BPO firms only to big cities, but some of the corporations like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (FICCI), Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India are taking initiatives and planning to include BPO firms in the curriculum.
